Sep 28, 2007, 08:17
Have you always wanted to make a rain barrel but didn’t know where to start? Well, the opportunity awaits you at Patuxent River Appreciation Days to take place at the Calvert Marine Museum on October 6 & 7. On Saturday, October 6, SEARCH partners are offering family workshops on rain barrel making.
There will be three workshops on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., noon, and 2:00 p.m. With a materials fee of $35, all supplies are provided for putting together your own rain barrel to take home. Each workshop is limited to 15 barrels; families may work together to build a barrel. As both space and supplies are limited, pre-registration is recommended. Call 410-326-2042 ext. 41 or ext. 32 to register and reserve your spot.
