Celebrating 28 years at the Calvert Marine Museum

Begin your holiday celebrations with the annual Solomons Christmas Walk on Friday and Saturday, December 7 - 8, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. In addition to all of the attractions on the island, from the Garden in Lights to the lighted boat parade on Saturday, the museum is serving up its own smorgasbord of holiday delights for visitors of all ages.

Shop locally for unique gifts in the Museum Store to please everyone on your holiday list. Museum members receive 20% off all weekend. The Store will be open both nights and is stocked with Chesapeake Bay inspired books, jewelry, home décor, clothing, and gifts.

On both Friday and Saturday the museum hosts local performers beginning at 6:00 p.m. Performances this year include Cosmic Flute Choir, Patuxent Voices, and Patuxent Pearls on Friday, and Southern Maryland Sound on Saturday.

Santa will be on hand both nights to hear the children's secret wishes and watch for the appearance by the museum's otter. Kids may create a holiday craft to take home. Enjoy punch and cookies on Friday. On Saturday, Santa's Coffee House will be open with complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and holiday cookies.
